      Society of Women Engineers - Orange County Engineering Day

      SWE-OC will sponsor and host the SWE-OC Engineering Patch Day on April 26th, 2014; 8:30 - 12PM.   This day will include a presentation about engineering and 3 small experiments. There will be various volunteers who are in engineering fields and are more than happy to talk to any of the Girl Scouts.

      • Girl Scout -  $5.00 + Eventbrite fees  
      • Troop Leader/Parent/Adult -  $3.00 + Eventbrite fees
      • Eventbrite Fee are NON-Refundable
      • Base Cost will cover snacks, water, and handouts 
      • ABSOLUTELY NO WALK-INS - please plan ahead for all attendees
      The event welcomes Girl Scouts that are at Brownies, Juniors, and Cadettes levels. It is recommended there should be 1 adult to 4 Girl Scouts. This is NOT a 'drop-off event'.  Girls will receive their patch at the workshop.  This is a popular event that SWE-OC offers twice per year. Registration typically fills up more than a month ahead of time. Make sure to sign up quickly before the event sells out. SWE-OC Engineering patch, engineering supplemental handouts, and FritoLay snacks are included in the registration cost.  
      Our event is highly reviewed by both the Girls Scouts and the attending parents! One of the most common positive reviews we receive from attendees is the wonderful opportunity the girls had to interact with women engineers.
